Eka Pada Rajakapotasana (King pigeon pose)

So, the long awaited one-legged king pigeon pose video is finally here :-) I had to mute the video and record a voice over as the noise from traffic was too loud on the original, so please excuse me if sometimes my voice doesn't sync perfectly with the different steps in the video. As I am unable to do the complete pose, you can Google Eka Pada Rajakatpotasana, click on images, and see the complete pose. If you do that, you'll see several different stages of the pose. The complete one is the one where your foot touches your head. BENEFITS: Improves flexibility of the hips, pelvis and groin. Lengthens the hip flexors (iliacus and psoas major muscles). Improves flexibility of the spine.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Pregnancy; hip injuries; recent hip replacement surgery.

I hope you enjoy the video, and please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries. As usual, if you feel any pain at all, please stop immediately and send me a message, so that I can give you an alternative pose.

NAMASTE
